Connected Mobility Initiative

We launched the Connected Mobility Initiative with support from the Toyota Mobility Foundation to address the critical need for metropolises worldwide to find viable mobility solutions of the future.

The year-long Initiative produced an in-depth report outlining public sector-led innovation around connected transportation, with the aim of distilling lessons for transport officials and offering insight into how they should transform themselves, embrace technology and transition from operators to mobility managers.

The Initiative was led by NewCities Senior Fellow and mobility expert, Greg Lindsay. Greg is a journalist, urbanist, futurist, and speaker. He is co-author of Aerotropolis: The Way We’ll Live Next and a visiting scholar at New York University’s Rudin Center for Transportation Policy & Management.
